Your life depends on energy.
Your body is made of cells.
Your cells depend on energy.
With adequate energy your cells form organs, skin, bones and your entire body.
Without energy, during sickness, and when injured, your cells become depolarized. In this fragile state cells can no longer absorb nutrients and oxygen or dispose of wastes. If depolarized cells are not given sufficient energy then dis-ease, degeneration, and aging result. Cellular repolarization is critical for the healing process.
Cold laser therapy provides the cells with a means to repolarize. It’s like jump starting a weak battery. The cold laser delivers much needed photonic energy, which the cells can convert into chemical energy known as ATP. This results in healing, regeneration, anti-aging, and rehabilititation naturally and non-invasively.
All lasers are not created equal. It’s important to choose a laser that is designed and calibrated for treating the type of condition you want to work on. Red light lasers are good for superficial application, offer minimal penetration and usually deliver photonic energy in minimal doses due to lower power outputs (ie. 5mW) measured in Milliwatts (mW), which is fine, but be aware that longer treatment times are required. Red light lasers tend to be less expensive than infrared lasers, except in a few cases, which are rarely justifiable. Red light laser diodes are commonly mixed with infrared diodes to produce more desirable results over larger surface areas.
Infrared lasers deliver deeper penetration and greater power outputs, resulting in a faster and more thorough delivery of photonic energy to target tissues at depths from 1-5 inches depending on if the laser is continuous wave, pulsed or super pulsed. A good choice of a low cost but effective and easy to use infrared light laser is the AL500 Laser. Other multiple wavelength lasers such as the TQ Solo are also a great choice if maximum penetration is required.
Cold lasers are commonly used for the relief of pain.
Studies show that the application of low level laser therapy stimulates cells to produce their own endorphins, resulting in an analgesic pain relieving effect. Pain relief and healing occurs when cellular functions are normalized. Additionally, studies show that the application of low level laser therapy to cells initiates biochemical reactions including the deactivation of enzymes that cause inflammation. The biostimulation that results from application of a cold laser has no effect on normal tissues and is consequently very safe. Laser photon delivery is very safe as tissues and cells are never heated and photons of light are only absorbed and utilized by cells that are in need of additional energy.
Biostimulation from low level laser is cumulative, which means that multiple treatments join forces to produce better long term results. In order to get the best results it is a good idea to see a competent laser therapist or purchase a cold laser that can be used regularly in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
